Over the summer, George undertook various projects, including pouring concrete, building fences, and gardening. Impressed by George’s work ethic and interactions, Bernie suggested he apply for a sales role at Ultumus.
Despite having no prior financial services experience, George has quickly adapted, performing many duties of a business development representative , including attending meetings with senior traders and clients, conducting follow-ups, and taking meeting notes. George values Ultumus’s unique hiring practices and appreciates that sales roles here are relatively light on cold calling compared to major fund managers, but do require an in depth knowledge of the data, technology and clients requirements.

Dori Zhang is a developer on our core team, contributing to the codebase for ULTUMUS’s index and ETF data service. She joined ULTUMUS through a traditional recruitment process, bringing with her experience from a stint in cybersecurity at Fidelity International.
Dori’s journey into finance and technology is distinctive. As a Hungarian citizen with Chinese heritage, her career was inspired by her father, who moved from Beijing to Hungary in the 1990s. A mechanical engineer, her father built PCs from scratch and traded forex in his spare time, which sparked Dori’s interest in computer science and finance. Fluent in Hungarian, Chinese, English, and German, Dori brings a diverse background to our team.
Dori appreciates that the knowledge she gains at Ultumus is applicable beyond the workplace. Understanding ETFs allows her to build her own investment portfolio and grow her wealth. Professionally, Dori aims to remain in fintech, enjoying the growth and opportunities the industry offers.
